The Joy of a Summer Spent Climbing Trees!

There’s something honest and refreshing about a summer spent outside - long days, warm air, messy hands, and kids simply being kids. At Hidden Valley, we see it every day: muddy boots, determined faces, and the satisfaction that comes from reaching just a little higher than before.

Climbing trees isn’t just fun, it’s a way for children to challenge themselves. They learn what they’re capable of, test their own limits, and start to understand how to manage risk - all without a screen in sight.

In a time where so much of life is scheduled and digital, being outside gives children space to slow down. Nature is steady. It doesn’t demand attention or offer quick rewards. And that’s part of why it matters.

We believe children need this kind of play - not just as a break, but as a foundation for learning and growth. That’s why we’re opening our outdoor nursery this January. It’s a space built for exploration, guided by experienced early years educators who support children to learn through real, hands-on experiences.

Our spot in the heart of Grayshott offers plenty of room to run, climb, build, and discover, in a way that feels natural and right for each child.

If your child loves to be outside, thrives on curiosity, and doesn’t mind getting a bit muddy, they’ll probably feel right at home here.

Here’s to climbing trees — and everything that comes with it.
